Physicians learning how the ZERONA® low-level laser stimulates fat cells to shed fat & reduce body measurements without surgery or downtime.

Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) October 21, 2009 — Santa Barbara Medical Innovations (SBMI) is bringing its ZERONA® “Super Saturday” events to four more U.S. cities simultaneously on October 24th.

Super Saturdays include scientific information and treatment protocols to train participating physicians and medical spa owners as they incorporate the ZERONA® into their practices. Attendees will also meet top physicians who have had tremendous success with the ZERONA® in their practices. Locations for October 24th include Fort Lauderdale / Boca Raton, New York City, Los Angeles and Saint Louis.

Physicians and medical spa owners who wish to attend a Super Saturday event can register by visiting www.sbmi.com or by calling SBMI at 866-207-8907.

ZERONA® is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand non-surgical cosmetic procedures in the country with hundreds of units now in place and recognition by top-tier media including The Rachael Ray Show, CBS Early Show, Nightline, Extra and many more.

“Public awareness of ZERONA® is growing exponentially as the demand for non-surgical body slimming is at an all-time high”, according to Chip Conk, CEO of Santa Barbara Medical Innovations. “The number of physicians and leading medical spas who are offering ZERONA® is expanding greatly every month.”

ZERONA® utilizes the Erchonia® Laser Scanner, the safest and most researched low-level laser in the world. Initially designed and FDA approved for use during liposuction, the non-invasive laser is applied to emulsify the adipose (fatty) tissue. The laser energy causes temporary pores to form in the fat cell’s membranes and release excess fat into the interstitial space (the space between the fat cells). From there, fat is passed through the body during its normal course of detoxification.

The ZERONA® system uses five low-level laser diodes mounted on flexible arms, which rotate above the body and target the fat cells. The person feels nothing while his or her body is gradually slimming down.

People are losing 3.5 to 9 inches & more in total body measurements. The treatment protocol consists of six 40-minute sessions spaced over a two-week period.

Nova Pressure Amplified Series from GE is a critical component in cost-effective sleep apnea monitoring systems

The Nova Pressure Amplified (NPA) pressure sensor series from GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies is a cost effective, fully signal conditioned solution for the medical OEM industry in one of the smallest low profile packages available on the market. Having a fully signal conditioned sensor in an small outline integrated circuit (SOIC) package eliminates the need for costly external components, reducing costs and improving system reliability. Key applications include sleep apnea and respiratory monitors, anesthesia instrumentation and compression therapy equipment.

“The NPA series provides the cost saving features required to reduce our OEM customers’ system costs, while providing an accurate and stable measurement solution,” said Brian Wirth, Global Product Manager, GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies.

The series provides calibrated, accurate and stable pressure measurement in an industry standard 14pin SOIC package and is available in either 14bit digital or amplified output. With less than 1.5% of full-scale total error band, the NPA delivers best in class performance, size and value.

The NPA is available in tape and reel, ready for automated assembly, in pressure ranges from 0 to 10INH20 (inches of water) through 0 to 30 pounds per square inch (PSI), in gauge, differential and absolute versions, with manifold or barbed pressure connections. Best in class performance includes 60 times overpressure for 10INH20 ranges, mounting sensitivity is less than 0.3% full scale (FS) and position sensitivity less than 0.1%FS. Long-term stability is specified to be better than 0.1%FS per year.
